I take it that you went to Leeds University. You have a picture of John Bamling on your site (son of John (Jack) Bamling and Joice Bamling) John died when I was very little and therefore I do not know much about him, he was my brother from my fathers first marriage. I do however know that he went to Leeds University in the 70's and he played in a group for a short while. If you have anymore photos or information could you please post it on your website. John was a dear friend.
We met in 1974 in our first year, when he was sharing a flat in the Henry Price Building at Leeds Uni. with Pete Barker a friend of mine from school , we all spent a lot of time round at 11 Kelso Road.
In our second year at Leeds we shared a house at 93 Brudenell Road ( close by the Hyde Park Cinema ), with Sally Jean, Des, Carolyn and later Charlie.
We remained friends and maintained contact after university.
Your brother was an absolutely splendid bloke; an intelligent, gentle, kind, witty, warm man.
