Edward's memoirs are interesting more for what they reveal of his character than perhaps their accuracy. Farnol's daughter, Gillian, by his first marriage, married in 1921, wasw divorced in 1936, and died in 1978. Farnol did not like her second husband, and they would seem to have become estranged.
