It's been years, but I still read Farnol often.

Just scored on eBay a title called FAMOUS PRIZE FIGHTS by Jeffery Farnol. Copyright 1928. Little, Brown, and Company. Boston. First Edition.

Contents of the book are: Gladiators; Broughton v. Slack; Humphries v. Mendoza; Johnson v. Perrins; Dutch Sam v. Tom Belcher; Gully v. Pearce; Tom Cribb v. Molineaux; Tom Spring v. Bill Neat; Jem Ward v. Simon Byrne; Bendigo v. Deaf Burke; Tom Sayers v. William Perry; Sayers v. Heenan; Mace v. King; Sullivan v. Ryan; Peter Jackson v. Frank Slavin; Corbett v. Sullivan; Fitzsimmons v. Corbett; Mitchell v. Corbett; Jeffries v. Fitzsimmons; and Carpentier v. Dempsey.

The book has 26 illustrations on one-sided plates: Sayers v. Heenan, 1800; The Cesti of the Gladiators of Rome; John Broughton v. Slack, 1750; Richard Humphries v. Daniel Mendoza, 1788; Tom Johnson v. Isaac Perrins, 1789; Dutch Sam; Tom Belcher; John Gully; Tom Cribb; Molineaux; Tom Spring; Bill Neat; Jem Ward; Bendigo; Deaf Burke; Tom Sayers; Jem Mace; Tom King; John L. Sullivan; Peter Jackson; Frank Slavin; Bob Fitzsimmons; Charlie Mitchell; James J. Corbett; Georges Carpentier; and Jack Dempsey.

I missed it in the bibliography.

Best Regards,
Geoff
