London: Sampson Low, Marston & Co. No dj, light brown cloth with front illus. (Jane hiding behind her book) and spine lettering in pale yellow, corners a little bumped, spine tips very lightly worn, a few small marks. Many text ills by the author, inscription (dated 1941) on flyleaf, some foxing on first and last pages and a few spots scattered throughout, page edges browned, else vg. small 8vo, 156pp. First published in 1937 - this is probably a 1st edition. A collection of stories, poems and dialogues. This title & its sequel 'A new book for Jane' (1939) are rare, because of their low print run.. No Date. Cloth. Very Good/No Jacket.
