A nice photo of the Bull at Sissinghurst can be found in the Francis Frith collection of photos, circa 1902 it`d be as Farnol new it.
Has any one ever worked out just where the glade was where Peter Vibart lived?
Just down the road southbound from the Bull, a pond feeds a steam that runs under the road, on the west side its quite wooded but when I was there some years I could see no easy access.Looks a good bet tho'
Microsoft world throws up a very good image of it.
Am at present studying maps to see if I can put actual places to the events in the book.
Really love this book, afraid I`m not so keen on the others tho'!
