Hello
A Google search for this name gave me one entry but allowed me to identify an old photo I have showing a typical countryman complete with smock, pipe, hat, gaitors and hunting rifle leaning on what I now know to be the Alfriston Market Cross.
The photo is actually a post card and is "signed" in the negative Yours Sincerely, Peter Bunkle.
My suspicions are that it might be JF but I cannot confirm although the man has a strong resemblance to JF's photos. It is quite a dark picture because of overhanging tree foliage. I estimate the period to be 20s or 30s and the photo is becoming rather silvered.Does this description ring any bells with your members?
Regards
Robert
