Having turned the corner on the millennium, as we all did a few years ago, it's interesting how the 1800s and 1900s can interchange! Case in point: our house, which is a modern reproduction board and batten traditional style house in a town of older homes, is often photographed by tourists (it is rather handsome, and, of course, in great shape!) When asked, I hate to disappoint them - "Oh, it was built in the Eighties", I say, and they go away happy.
