On a recent holiday in Kent we intended to call at Alfriston (Sussex) on the way home but ran out of time. Is there anything there, even a pub, which one can associate with Farnol? If not, better not to go because I have a picture in my mind and don't want it destroyed. Did he even base his location called Alfriston on the real place?
